Welcome to Grafton Sports Injury Clinic in Weymouth, Dorset
Since badly injuring my shoulder in 2000, and recieving little rehabilitation, or physiotherapy advice, and also a long standing love of sports, I decided to go to University to study Sports Injuries. I went to London Metropolitan University, the first in
the country to offer Sports Therapy Degree courses, from 2002-2005. After graduating I became a member of the leading Sports Therapy society, namely the Society of Sports Therapists. As a requirement of membership, all members must maintain and prove continued professional development.
This ensures all members keep up to date with new developments in injury
treatment.
Since returning to Weymouth, Dorset, I have worked with Dorchester Rugby Club, and am now in my second season at the club. Through theclub I got the opportunity to work with the Sports Therapist for England Deaf Rugby Team, during a game with England's long term rivals, the Welsh Deaf Rugby Team.
As part of the continuing professional development requirement, and my enjoyment of taking on new challenges, I hope to go to Ghana, Africa in the following year on a 3 month placement working with the Physiotherapists for the Ghanaian Olympic Team.
